Fox to Fascism Pipeline: How America Let the Propaganda Network Staff Its Damn Government
By: The Mayor of Funkytown — Patron Saint of Raised Fists, Velvet Ropes, and Calling Bullshit When Bullshit Shows Up Wearing a Diaper
Let me lay this one out like a soul groove on vinyl, Funkytown: the United States government is now being run, in part, by a rogue’s gallery of washed-up cable news anchors, right-wing infotainers, and propaganda peddlers who cut their teeth not on public service—but on bullshit segments, cherry-picked headlines, and white nationalist dog whistles.
Over 30 individuals—30 damn people—who once served as talking heads for Fox News are now reportedly working within or advising the Trump administration. Yes, the same Fox News that agreed to fork over $787.5 million to Dominion Voting Systems for spreading election lies. That’s not a fine—that’s an admission of guilt with decimal points.
And now, many of those very faces are drafting policy, running departments, or whispering into the earpiece of a man who thinks the Constitution is optional. We let the architects of delusion become the engineers of power.
This ain’t a government—it’s a rerun of the worst primetime lineup in history.
The Propaganda Pipeline
What do you call a government staffed by TV personalities whose resumes include “daily fear-mongering” and “conspiracy distribution technician”? I’ll tell you what you call it: state-sponsored disinformation with a taxpayer-funded benefits package.
We’re talking about the likes of Tulsi Gabbard (who pivoted from Congress to Fox News contributor to Trump surrogate like a cat chasing a laser pointer), Judge Jeanine Pirro (whose screeching on-air performances now echo in halls of influence), and Pete Hegseth (who once bragged on camera about not washing his hands—perfect metaphor for today’s moral hygiene).
These folks didn’t just dabble in propaganda. They were lead dancers in the bullshit ballet, and now they’re doing the tango with executive power.
America, This Is Not Normal
This is what authoritarianism looks like with a fresh coat of TV makeup. When a regime rewards loyal media cronies with government roles, it's not just cronyism—it’s kleptocracy meets cosplay fascism. These aren't experts. These are influencers with clearance badges.
We are living through the merger of reality television and political reality. Fox was always the RNC’s communications arm, but now it’s running the damn company.
You want to know why that’s dangerous? A functioning democracy relies on truth, transparency, and qualified people making hard decisions. What we’ve got is a clown car of “former contributors” putting on the uniforms of government while still whispering sweet nothings into the ears of the MAGA base.
We Let This Happen
Let’s be real: this didn’t come out of nowhere. The GOP long ago abandoned governance for grievance. They’ve embraced performance over policy, rage over reason. And Fox News was more than happy to hand them the script.
Now those same scriptwriters are running the show. And spoiler alert: the finale doesn’t end well for anyone who still believes in voting rights, bodily autonomy, or empirical reality.
The velvet rope of power has been lowered for bad actors who know how to work a camera but not a constitution. And we let them waltz right in.
And don’t forget—this is the same Fox News that helped incite a damn insurrection, then had the gall to act shocked while they aired “both sides” of a coup attempt. Now the same crew is influencing foreign policy, civil rights, and maybe even another war.
Where the Hell Is the Outrage?
If this were any other nation, we’d call it what it is: state propaganda infiltrating governance. But here? It’s Tuesday.
And before anyone starts screeching “But what about MSNBC?”—save it. You don’t see Joy Reid appointed Secretary of State. Rachel Maddow isn’t drafting executive orders. The left may have media voices, but they’re not being handed nuclear launch codes.
This is about one network. One machine of misinformation. One ideological incubator now masquerading as a farm team for American fascism.
Time to Rip the Mic Away
If we want to survive this descent into oligarchic infotainment, we must start calling it what it is. The merger of Fox News and the federal government is not a quirk of the Trump era—it’s a blueprint for authoritarian control.
And if you think it ends with just 30 staffers, guess again. The next phase is media monopolies becoming policy monopolies. And before you know it, every major decision will come with a chyron, a sponsor, and a talking point.
Funkytown doesn’t play that game. We see the con. And we’re not letting these snake oil salesmen slither into our institutions without blowing the goddamn whistle.
If you dig the Mayor’s groove, subscribe and share. Funkytown needs more citizens who give a damn.
