🍽️ Starvation as Policy: When War Crimes Become Strategy
By The Mayor of Funkytown — Political Writer, Resistance Organizer, and Unwilling Witness to the Murder of Conscience
I don't have a problem with the people of Israel.
I don't have a problem with the people of Palestine.
But I do have a serious problem with Hamas and Benjamin Netanyahu.
What’s unfolding in Gaza isn’t just a tragedy. It’s a crime—calculated, cruel, and deliberate.
"At the time of this writing, 25 people were killed yesterday near aid stations in Gaza."
Not Hamas fighters. Not militants.
Civilians.
People waiting for rice, clean water, and insulin. Shot. Bombed. Starved.
And not for the first time. Not by accident.
This isn’t “collateral damage.”
This is the strategy.
🎯 Weaponizing Hunger
Netanyahu's government has taken the old machinery of occupation and added a new tactic: deliberate mass starvation.
Since the earliest days of this war, Israel’s far-right leadership has:
Blocked food and fuel
Cut off water to millions
Bombed bakeries, grain silos, greenhouses
Shelled aid convoys
Shot at people lined up for flour and medicine
“We’re putting them on a diet.” — Dov Weissglas, senior Israeli official, 2006
“No electricity, no food, no fuel.” — Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, 2023
This isn’t just rhetoric. It’s a roadmap.
🚨 Netanyahu Is a Wanted Man
The International Criminal Court has issued a formal arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes, including:
Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare
Willfully causing great suffering
Extermination
Willful killing
He now shares legal status with the likes of Vladimir Putin, Slobodan Milošević, and Charles Taylor.
And yet, he’s still being welcomed in Western capitals. Still being handed billions in weapons by the U.S. government. Still being protected diplomatically by our leaders while the people of Gaza dig their children out of rubble with their bare hands.
What kind of democracy sends bombs to a man wanted for war crimes?
⚖️ Two Extremist Regimes, One Endless War
Let’s be clear: Hamas is a nihilistic death cult masquerading as resistance.
Its leaders live in luxury abroad while ordinary Palestinians pay the price for their every atrocity.
But Hamas didn’t starve Gaza.
Hamas didn’t cut off fuel and medicine.
That was Netanyahu.
And both of them—Netanyahu and Hamas—need each other.
They rise on each other’s crimes.
They feed off the blood of civilians.
Every time Netanyahu bombs another apartment block, Hamas grows stronger.
Every time Hamas fires a rocket, Netanyahu uses it to justify further brutality.
It’s a closed loop of carnage.
And innocent people are being fed into the machine.
🛑 This Is What Ethnic Cleansing Looks Like
When over 30,000 civilians are dead
When entire neighborhoods are turned to dust
When children die from thirst
When hospitals are told to evacuate and then bombed
That’s not self-defense.
That’s not “security.”
That’s not even war.
It’s slow-motion ethnic cleansing, carried out in front of the world.
And we’re funding it.
🇺🇸 America’s Dirty Hands
The U.S. sends $3.8 billion a year in military aid to Israel.
That’s our tax dollars fueling a siege.
Our bombs are killing aid workers.
Our silence enables war crimes.
Every Congressional “both sides” statement?
Every veto of a ceasefire resolution?
Every blank check for Netanyahu’s war machine?
That’s complicity.
You don’t get to call yourself a beacon of human rights while financing the starvation of children.
🧠 Don't Let Them Gaslight You
This is what they’ll say:
“It’s complicated.”
“There are no good guys.”
“But what about Hamas?”
“Israel has a right to defend itself.”
Complication is not justification.
Terrorism by Hamas does not absolve terrorism by a state.
And you don’t get to call starvation a military tactic and then clutch your pearls when people call it what it is: a war crime.
✊ Silence Is Not Neutral
If you’ve ever wondered what you would’ve done during:
The Holocaust
The Rwandan Genocide
The war in Bosnia
Apartheid South Africa
You don’t have to wonder.
You’re doing it now.
Are you looking away?
Are you reposting “it’s complicated”?
Are you nodding along with war criminals because your party’s in power?
Or are you standing up?
💥 The Line Is Here. Choose a Side.
Let this be said clearly and without apology:
Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.
Starving civilians is a crime.
Sending weapons to those committing mass murder makes us accomplices.
You don’t need to pick a side between Israel and Palestine.
You only need to pick a side between justice and atrocity.
Between conscience and cowardice.
🚨 Stay loud. Stay ungovernable.
