Please read this article (written TO libertarians from a libertarian party candidate for president - which doesn't really matter). The article details the laws that are in place that - intentionally or not - explain why no new party has or will be likely to succeed. To me, this is the most important issue of our time. Two parties arguing over democracy, while having ensured its death. NOTE: There's a forgivable inaccuracy in the article, because it was written before Citizens United. Please overlook that and get the bigger picture.
