After eight years of swearing allegiance to a man who talks like a mob boss and governs like a cartoon fascist, some Trump voters are starting to complain.
Not because he staged a coup.
Not because heâs locking up journalists and weaponizing law enforcement.
Not because heâs dismantling the government like a toddler with a hammer.
Nope. Theyâre mad because their stocks dropped, their businesses or farms are collapsing, or their family, friends, co-workers, or neighbors got picked up by ICE in the middle of the night.
Well boo-fucking-hoo. You donât get a sympathy parade because the monster you summoned finally turned around and bit you in the ass. You were warned. Loudly. Every. Single. Day.
đ˘ You Were Warned By Everyone
Letâs be crystal clear:
The media warned you. Even the watered-down, centrist cowards on cable news managed to mutter, âThis seems badâ between Big Pharma ads.
Scientists warned you. Trump wanted to nuke hurricanes and drink bleach. You laughed.
Economists warned you. Tariffs and tax cuts for billionaires werenât magic. They were economic sabotage.
Black folks warned you. Theyâve been screaming about fascism since before Trump came down that goddamn golden escalator.
Immigrants warned you. They saw the cages coming before the rest of the country had even unpacked from 2016.
Activists warned you. We marched. We bled. We screamed ourselves hoarse trying to stop what you helped unleash.
And what did you do?
You called us snowflakes. You posted Pepe memes. You wore red hats like gang signs and laughed about drinking liberal tears. You owned the libsâright up until your mortgage rate doubled, your crops failed from neglected climate disasters, or your cousin got deported after a traffic stop.
Now youâre online like, âWhoa, I didnât sign up for this!â
Yes. You did.
đŞBuyerâs Remorse Isnât a Defense
Letâs talk about David, a âlifelong conservativeâ from Georgia who now says Trump âwent too farâ by arresting his Democratic state rep for criticizing the border wall.
David, buddyâyou stood there and clapped when he called the press the enemy of the people. You cheered when he used the military against peaceful protesters. You voted for him after Charlottesville, after Ukraine, after January 6. You enabled this.
Or take Janine in Arizona, who says sheâs âconcernedâ about the National Guard seizing voting machines. Janine voted for Trump twice. TWICE. Thatâs not a mistakeâthatâs a lifestyle.
You donât get to show up in the third act of the horror movie crying, âI didnât know the zombies were real.â You opened the fucking crypt.
𧚠Clean-Up Is for the Rest of Us
Now that the country is on fireâliterally and metaphoricallyâyou want the rest of us to clean it up for you again. To vote harder. To organize. To âreach out to disaffected conservativesâ and find common ground with the same people who just a few months ago were howling âLetâs go Brandonâ and calling for civil war.
Nah.
The bridge is burned. The ground is salted. The welcome mat was set on fire and pissed on by your cult leader.
Weâre not doing this song and dance again. Not while your people are still flying Blue Lives Matter flags next to Gadsden flags next to âJesus is My Savior, Trump is My Presidentâ banners like itâs some kind of bigot buffet.
You made this mess. Now live in it. Or better yet, dismantle it. But you donât get cookies and hugs for realizing, eight years too late, that the guy with the fascist slogans and the open criminal record might not have been a great long-term investment.
đĽ Specific Examples? You Got It.
The evangelical who loved Trump until ICE deported his undocumented wife. Her church baked her casseroles. Trump deported her. Now heâs on Facebook crying. Shouldâve thought of that when you called Jesus a capitalist.
The MAGA dude in Ohio who lost his union job after Trump gutted labor protections and handed your factory over to billionaires with tax breaks. You screamed about âsocialismâ until capitalism gutted your livelihood like a fish.
The ex-cop who loved âlaw and orderâ until his son got stopped by the Secret Police for livestreaming an anti-war protest. Guess the Constitution matters now?
The farmer in Iowa who praised Trumpâs trade war until China stopped buying soybeans, prices tanked, and he watched three generations of work collapse under fascist economic policy wrapped in a red hat.
The small business owner in Florida who flew a Trump flag over his car dealership until the DHS showed up and arrested half his staff for being undocumentedâpeople heâd employed for over a decade.
đŁ The Problem Isnât Trump. Itâs You.
You want us to believe Trump betrayed you. But the truth is, he perfectly represented youâyour fears, your racism, your toxic masculinity, your obsession with revenge over democracy. You liked him because he bullied the people you hate. And now youâre shocked he turned that weapon inward?
Thatâs not betrayal. Thatâs blowback.
Trump didnât âchange.â He was always like this. The problem is that your standards were so low he could goose-step over them in gold-plated shoes.
You want forgiveness?
Try earning it.

This isnât a movie. This isnât a sitcom where the MAGA dad learns a lesson in the last five minutes. This is real life. And the rest of us are busy trying to survive the mess you gleefully voted for.
You broke it. You bought it. And now weâre all stuck living in your broken toy store.
